Lightborn

Created in 2026, "Lightborn" represents a powerful continuation of Viktor Sheleg’s lifelong exploration of the delicate balance between social conformity and the primal yearning for individual freedom.

The title itself suggests a genesis—an awakening. Out of Sheleg’s signature deep, atmospheric background, a captivating female silhouette emerges as if born directly from the light. The artwork creates a striking visual metaphor for liberation, vulnerability, and internal strength. Rather than defining every detail, the artist relies on suggestive, emotionally charged forms, inviting the viewer to become an active participant in deciphering the painting's complex psychological landscape.
